About Me
I've been working with digital design tools - Adobe Photoshop, GoLive/Dreamweaver, Illustrator, video and audio editing - for almost a decade, including school and professional experience. I received my Bachelor's of Arts in English, with a focus in Creative Writing, from Virginia Tech. In addition to giving me experience writing in a variety of styles, it helped shape my belief in the creative process and my ability to maximize the use of constructive criticism.
In my professional career, I've worked creating written and multimedia training, advertising, and coordinating S.E.O. and web development for a regional pest control company, and I'm currently working as a freelance web designer. I've focused on making sure small businesses and individuals get the best foothold on the web possible. I'm currently seeking the right opportunities, including freelance clients, part-time and contract work, or full-time work in an environment where I can learn and grow.
I have a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, SEO, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver, as well as experience with Adobe Flash, including AS 3.0. I'm currently expanding my knowledge of Javascript, PHP, and renewing my background in Object-Oriented Programming. I've worked with a variety of different CMS's, including DotNetNuke, Joomla, Concrete5, and the Moodle LMS.
I am located in Baltimore, MD, but I have clients from New York to Minnesota.
